【Permanent Exhibition】
Chimei Museum is renowned for its collections of Western Arts, music instruments, armory, taxidermy and fossils. These 4000 plus collections make up of roughly a third of all exhibits. Museum founder Mr. Wen-Long Shi has said, “Great collections shouldn’t be kept private, but to share it with the world; collections shouldn’t be about my tastes but it should be suitable for everyone to appreciate and enjoy.”

Fine Arts Hall
13th to 20th Century paintings, aim to educate the public on the history and development of Western arts.
Rodin Gallery
An exhibit that focuses on Auguste Rodin, his teachers, his peers and his students. A peek into the creative minds during the Rodin era of the late 19th and early 20th century.
Natural History and Fossils
Taxidermies and fossils from all 5 continents, a representation of life, history and nature.
Musical Instruments – The Violin Exhibit
The hall exhibits the best hand-crafted instruments and categorizes violins and string instruments according to world-renowned luthiers, their lineage, and their respective geographical regions.
Musical Instruments
“Ethnic Musical Instrument Hall”, “Orchestra Hall” and “Music Tech” are 3 exhibits that provide an in-depth look at how culture, customs and technology drove music to what it is today.
Sculpture Hall
From ancient Greek, to Rome to the 20th centur, the exhibit is a trail into the past to all things sculpture.
Arms and Amour
The exhibit collects the ancient weaponry of the world, from the past we can see the glimpse of their influence into the industrial and technologies of today.
【Special Exhibition – Beyond the Shadows Exhibition】
Chimei Museum presents <Beyond the Shadows> exhibition. A culmination of modern artists from 15 countries around the globe. Six questions are proposed on the topic of “Shadows”. The artists take us on a journey through the world of shadows, breakdown our perceptions of virtual and reality, truth and false, now and forever as we know it. The exhibit will lead us to explore the extraordinary out of the ordinary. Let the shadows be the light of your visit.

No.88 Tainan Circuit Route
The shuttle offers a one-way circuit services that starts at 10:00 and ends at 20:00 with 20-minute intervals every day. The service centers around the heart of Tainan and stops at most tourist attractions. Passengers are encouraged to take the shuttle to visit iconic attractions such as Confucius Temple, Tainan Art Museum Bldg 1 and 2, The Judicial Museum, Lin Department Store, Fort Provintia, and then through to You-ai Street, Guo-hua Street, Shen-nong Street and An-hai Road to sample the best local street foods of Tainan. The shuttles depart regularly on 20 minute intervals for you to enjoy the best the city of Tainan has to offer.
No. 99 Anping Taijian Route
The service provides passengers to attractions in Anping District and Qigu District. Passengers on this service will skip unnecessary waiting time in the CBD of Tainan, the bus departs at Tainan Park, and stops by Koxinga Shrine, Confucius Temple, Lin Department Store, Fort Provintia, Zhongzheng Market, Eternal Golden Castle then straight to Anping, then north bound to Sicao Ecological Park (Dazhong Temple) and Qigu Salt Mountain. Through this simplified route, the service can provide an easier access for tourist thinking of spending time in Tainan.
