The National Science and Technology Museum is the first museum for the applied sciences, there’s 18 permanent exhibition halls on display, 5 special exhibition halls, a full-sized cinematic theatre and library dedicated for the sciences. Every permanent exhibition halls are themed according to their respective topics along with a variety of interactive facilities such as the earthquake simulation room, virtual Taroko riding experience, moon walk, flying simulation, VR fighter pilot simulation, autonomous car riding experience, children’s electronic vehicle experience, so everyone can immerse in the sciences through interactive experiences and fulfill the edutainment the museum set out to provide for the general public.

For kids aged in the K-6, not only does the museum provide kids friendly facilities such as the boat of Dreams, the mystery kingdom, recently the “Fun City Exhibition Hall” has been tremendously popular. The facility contains, miniature roads, pedestrian walkways and crossings, traffic lights and miniature shops and architectures, every kid within the exhibit need to abide by the traffic rules, pay attention to the warning signs whether you are a pedestrian or in a vehicle; an interactive road safety for the kids. Furthermore, two extra interactive activities are provided within the exhibit, including the “children-friendly electronic powered cars and motorbikes” and the “creative building blocks”, to enhance learning through the enveloping experience.
For the students ranging within the 12 year compulsory education, the museum provides exhibition relative to their curriculum and other new-age technology to not only spark interest but a more in-depth look into the field of science, including exhibits such as smart manufacturing etc. Moreover, utilizing gaming and stage clearing mechanisms to enforce teaching in exhibitions such as “Epidemic Prevention Boot Camp”, “Traveling Dreams”, “Creative Laboratory”, which have all been favorites to the student.

More than just the permanent exhibition, the museum also houses a library dedicated for the sciences and various unique displays such as startup factory and an open depository, we invite everyone with an interest in the sciences to come and visit!
